SIPOC Builder

SIPOC maps a process from the outside in — the standard first step in continuous improvement work, before anyone argues about solutions. This free tool runs entirely in your browser: nothing is uploaded or stored on a server, and your board travels in the page address so it can be shared as a link.

The five columns

• Suppliers — who provides what the process needs.
• Inputs — what goes into the process: materials, information, requests.
• Process — the steps themselves, in order, at a level the whole team can agree on.
• Outputs — what the process produces, including the by-products nobody ordered.
• Customers — who receives the outputs, inside and outside the organisation.

How it works

1. List everything that happens in the process in the Inventory — steps, people, materials, paperwork.
2. Drag each item into the SIPOC column it belongs to; drag process steps up and down until the order is right.
3. Add everyone involved in the stakeholder analysis panel, with their role and influence.
4. Print or save the finished framework as a clean PDF — the SIPOC table and stakeholder list, nothing else.
