AI Readiness Temperature Check

A temperature check, not the full health check. The full AI Readiness Assessment is a structured engagement: a Readiness Snapshot first, then a Deep Dive that ends with decisions, owners and a sequence. This free exercise covers the same ground at walking pace, as a Go and See: each stop starts with something to observe, ask or count where the work happens, asks what you actually saw, and scores three statements against the evidence. It runs entirely in your browser: nothing is uploaded, and no name, email or code is needed for the walk, the results, print or export.

The seven stops

  1. How the work actually flows — the lived process, its handoffs, waits and workarounds.
  2. The AI already in the building — where AI tools are in use today, officially or not.
  3. The thinking underneath — where the critical-thinking gaps sit, and who checks AI output.
  4. Culture: what AI will amplify — whether problems surface or hide, and whether experiments may fail safely.
  5. Seeing clearly: data and visibility — whether the people doing the work can see their numbers, and where those numbers come from.
  6. The pilot ground — one workflow, understood well enough to test, small enough to fail safely.
  7. Guardrails and people — the AI policy, the human who reviews AI-assisted work, and what the people affected have been told.

What you get

A visual temperature read: an overall temperature, a banded bar for each stop, and a first map of what to fix before any rollout, what could be piloted now, and what to build next. Print the results card, print the worksheet and take it to the floor, or download the branded visual. A temperature check is a first read, not the full assessment; the full AI Readiness Assessment ends with the prioritised readiness map, decisions, owners and a sequence.
